My name is Michael Malachi Rempen, and I've been a filmmaker for over ten years.
I was born in Geneva, Switzerland, and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At age 11, I started making dozens of movies using stop-motion animation and Star Wars action figures. These small projects helped teach me the basics of storytelling and the value of entertainment.
In high school, I teamed with a friend to make six short films over three years, four of which garnered awards in three Albuquerque film festivals.
Currently, I'm enrolled in the Chapman University film program in Orange, California.
I've run three movie production companies: RemRan Productions, with friend Oren Ran, Vanishing Point Pictures, with Dom Ricco, another friend, and Zia Films, by myself.
I have a profound love for the craft of filmmaking, and my goal is to make films that challenge convention and set the bar for quality in visuals and storytelling.
